
Trish McGrath has over 40 years experience in Irish Dancing and is a highly regarded teacher and choreographer throughout the country. Trish has a great love of Irish dancing in all its forms including Irish Set, Ceili, and Step dancing. In the 1960s Trish regularly attended the weekly dances at the Irish National Association in Sydney, where she was asked to join the famous Sydney Ceili Dancers run by renowned County Louth dance teacher Peter McKenna. This is where she met her first dance partner and later husband Patrick McGrath, from County Limerick.

Alarna Doherty started her dancing career at the age of three at the Walton Irish School of Dance, and despite her young age has 30 years dancing experience. Alarna has developed a style of teaching that combines both a passionate love of Irish dance with a strong sense that dancing should always be fun!
Who are the Harp Irish Set Dancers ?
Trish and Alarna were handed Michael John Hand's class in 1998. Their lively steps, humour, and enthusiasm for Irish dancing in its many forms attracted onlookers and students alike. Trish and Alarna's classes and ceilis quickly grew to be the most popular event on the Irish calendar. Running ceilis every two months since 1998 which are very well attended with dancers regularly coming from Canberra, Newcastle, Central Coast & Victoria.
